Stolen Napkin Dispenser Worth $700 Returned To White Castle With An Apology Note (Video)

Everyone does dumb stuff when they’re drunk from time to time. And we can only assume that the man that stole an electronic napkin dispenser worth $700 from a White Castle in Schererville, Indiana was drunk because, well, why else would anyone take a napkin dispenser?!

The theft occurred about two weeks ago. The restaurant reported it to the police because of the crazy cost of the napkin dispenser and surveillance video showing the thief aired on the news. Last Thursday, the dispenser was returned to the restaurant anonymously, with a note asking to please not press charges.

To their credit, it looks like the White Castle folks are chalking this up to just a dumb mistake by the thief, because they said that charges will not be pressed. There’s still no word on why they felt the need for an electronic napkin dispenser that costs $700, instead of just the standard ones that couldn’t cost more than 20 bucks or so!
