A Reporter Who Wrote Her A 15,000 Word Dissertation On ‘Legally Blonde’ Finally Gave It To Reese Witherspoon (Video)

Recently, Mindy Kaling, Oprah Winfrey and Reese Witherspoon were doing a press junket for their new movie, A Wrinkle In Time. There were being interviewed by reporter Lucy Ford, who said that she was a huge fan of the three women, but especially Witherspoon.

Ford took the opportunity at the beginning of the interview to tell Reese that she’s such a big fan that she even wrote her 15,000-word college dissertation on the movie Legally Blonde, which is one of Witherspoon’s most famous roles. The dissertation was specifically about strong female roles. She then handed Witherspoon a copy, and to Reese’s credit, she seemed genuinely touched by the whole exchange. She even noted that the dissertation was “scented,” something that Witherspoon’s character Elle Woods would do in the movie.
