Twenty-three-year-old Steven Crocker saved up for a whole year to be able to afford a $1,700 engagement ring for his then girlfriend but is now trying to give it away.
Crocker said he was going to propose to his woman of just under two years when she dumped him a month before he was going to pop the question.
According to him, it’s not about the $1,700 he just wasted on a 14-karat white gold ring with a half-karat diamond, no. He wants to mend his broken heart by giving another couple the chance he never got to use the ring!
In a Facebook post, Crocker shared he is taking submissions to decide who to give it to and also told Inside Edition, “Anyone who fits the above description of who I’m looking to give the ring to can email a video telling me why you deserve it (stevenmcrocker46@gmail.com). Show me pictures of you and your significant other, tell me how you fell in love, tell me their favorite color; whatever you think will convince me of sending this ring to you. I’ll sit down with some friends one day and we’ll pick a lucky person.”
So if anyone thinks they deserve a free engagement ring, we guess you should get on it! Although, we think that ring has got to be cursed somehow so proceed with caution.
