Vehicle Complaint

On March 26th at around 4:45 p.m., police were called to the area of N. Lacrosse Street and E. Adams Street for a report of a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road and two occupants unconscious inside. On arrival, police observed a male driver and female passenger both passed out in the vehicle, which was locked, running, and in drive. As police attempted to wake the driver and order them to turn off the vehicle, the driver woke and drove forward several feet. The driver stopped the vehicle, and stepped out of the car. Police observed a bottle of liquor near the driver’s feet. The driver was positively identified as 43-year-old Marlin Turninghawk of Kyle. Police noted the strong smell of an alcoholic beverage coming from his person. Based on a DUI investigation, Turninghawk was placed under arrest for DUI and Open Container in a Motor Vehicle. He was transported to the Pennington County Jail.
