On April 16th at around 5:15 p.m., police were dispatched to the intersection of E. Oakland Street and Hoefer Avenue for a report of an injured bicyclist. On arrival, police located the cyclist lying on the sidewalk. A medical unit arrived and transported the bicyclist to the hospital for the treatment of serious, life-threatening-injuries. Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash, and are asking that anyone who may have witnessed the incident contact Det. Ryan Gebhard at 394-4134 with information.
