In the middle of a baby shower at a hotel in West Memphis, Arkansas, a fight broke out between off-duty police officer Wendi Schuchardt and a hotel guest, who witnesses say was attacking Schuchardt’s stepdaughter, the mother-to be. According to witnesses, the hotel guest lunged at Schuchardt and attacked her. Police were called, but Schuchardt’s son said that the police dispatcher hung up on them six times before they finally responded.
Schuchardt was fired by the department because they say that the choke hold she put on the hotel guest who started the fight took things a little too far. But now, surveillance video from the hotel may help to clear her name, but time will tell.
