Last year, the NFL draft was held in Philadelphia and former Dallas Cowboys great Drew Pearson took the opportunity to trash talk Eagles fans before announcing the team’s pick. Fast forward one year, which happened to include a Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl win, and former Eagles kicker David Akers decided to get some revenge.
Akers, the beloved kicker, was called upon to announce the Eagles’ first pick in the draft. The draft just so happened to be in Dallas this year, so things couldn’t have been more perfect. So when Akers took the stage, he lit into Cowboys fans with an epic rant that will be hard to top. The most memorable line came when Akers yelled, “Hey Dallas, they last time you were in a Super Bowl these picks weren’t even born yet!” Ouch.
And to add insult to injury, the Eagles then went and drafted a guy named Dallas!
