American Airlines has issued an apology and a $75 voucher to a breastfeeding mother after a debate over a breast pump and an inappropriate comment by a gate agent.
Kelsey Myers was travelling from Los Angeles to Chicago when she tried to board a flight with three carry-on bags. The gate agent told her she either needed to check the bags or condense them to which Myers responded by telling them she needed all three bags for her breastfeeding supplies.
The two debated the airlines’ medical device policy until a supervisor came. There was some more back and forth until the supervisor hit the mother with the mortifying question, “how many boobs do you have?”
SHEESH!
Sure this lady probably didn’t need three bags for everything but the fault in this situation immediately fell on American Airlines the second the supervisor asked about Myers’ boobs!
But hey, it’s okay, the $75 voucher will only cover one bag so she’ll have no choice but to only use one next time!
