That awkward moment when you think you just won 15,000 pounds only to have it ripped away seconds later on TV.
Well that’s what happened to this poor contestant on British ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ when he locked in his answer and was told it was correct only to actually be wrong.
When asked “what type of wild animal is an ibex?” The contestant answered deer and host Jeremy Clarkson was so confident that was the answer he said ” I’m not even gonna look at the screen, that’s the correct answer.”
It only took seven seconds before we hear Clarkson say, “it isn’t!”
Who would have thought when your job depends on information on a screen, it helps to actually look at the screen!?
To add insult to injury, the contestant had to see his winnings go from 15,000 pounds to 1,000 pounds and Clarkson felt it necessary to remind him of this when he said “Well I’m very sorry but you’re going back to Copenhagen with barely enough to afford the air fare.”
BRUH…awkward.
