Car-Jacking Teens Say People Leaving Keys In Their Cars Is The Reason They Get Stolen (Video)

Three teens were questioned about a stolen Hummer recently but their reasoning for people’s cars getting stolen makes you think “huh, they kind of have a point there.”

We’re not saying we support these kids skipping school, “thuggin,” and stealing cars but they do have one of the best uses for “well it’s your own fault” we’ve ever heard.

The three boys, age(s) 13 and 14 were approached by the media after being questioned about a stolen Hummer. People were wondering why the boys weren’t in school at the time of the theft, to which they replied they were out “thuggin.” Valid excuse. We frequently take time off to “thug” as well.

These boys were eventually not charged with the crime but the lesson they want to get out to the people of Moline, Illinois is that if your car gets stolen, it’s your own fault!

“Tell these (expletive) stop leaving their car running. (Expletive) need to stop leaving their cars unlocked and keys in the car. They stop doing that, there won’t be more stoleys,” said one teen.

While he does have a point, people with a decent moral compass also know that it’s kind of illegal and wrong to steal things that aren’t yours.

In the end, the boys say they’re just having fun and YOLO.

Can’t argue with that logic, right?
