Howard Stern Opens Up To Letterman About Their Feud (Video)

For years Howard Stern and David Letterman haven’t really been seeing eye-to-eye, call it a feud if you wish, but recently Stern was open, honest and laid it all out.

In the latest, season finale, episode of Letterman’s Netflix show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction Stern opened up about his mental health and personal struggles at the time when the feud began.

He opened up about his struggles with OCD as well as lacking respect for the weight words carry and letting it affect his relationship with Letterman.

However, Stern told Letterman he attributes his turn-around to psychotherapy.

“Through psychotherapy I started to fall in love with life a little bit,” said Stern. “I started to appreciate what was good. … one of those things was my relationship with you. I could appreciate what you had done for me. I had betrayed your trust, and I was ashamed. The reality was I loved you, and I really felt strongly about you.”

Stern eventually did apologize to Letterman and his wife and even sent them a painting he had done.

Despite Stern’s reputation, it’s refreshing to see him so open and emotional and we are glad to see these two making up!
