Gretchen Carlson Announces That The Miss America Competition Will No Longer Judge Contestant’s Looks (Video)

The Miss America pageant is going through some major changes. Yesterday, Gretchen Carlson, the current chair of the Miss America board and Miss America 1989, made the announcement on Good Morning America that they are getting rid of the swimsuit portion of the event, and that Miss America will now be a competition, not a pageant. Contestants will no longer be judged based on looks.
