A Raccoon Scaled A Skyscraper In St. Paul, Minnesota (Video)

A raccoon has captivated the internet after scaling the side of a skyscraper in St. Paul, Minnesota on Tuesday.

At about 11AM, a reporter for Minnesota Public Radio looked out the window and happened to notice that a raccoon was climbing up the side of a nearby building. Some maintenance workers were called to try and get the raccoon down by using some two-by-fours as a bridge, but that only scared the raccoon and made him climb even higher. The raccoon scaled nearly the entire building, finally stopping and resting on a ledge on the 23rd floor.

Because of the height that the raccoon was at, there wasn’t much that could be done to rescue him. After spending much of the day on the 23rd floor, the raccoon finally started to descend and made it all the way down to the 17th floor, but not before changing directions and and climbing up again!

Early on Wednesday, the raccoon finally made it all the way to the roof, where a live trap had been set up. The raccoon was captured, and then released back into the wild. That’s a heck of a journey!
