Phillies Fan Injured After Being Hit In The Face With A Hot Dog Shot From A Hot Dog Cannon By Team Mascot (Video)

On Monday night during the Phillies/Cardinals game at Citizens Bank Park, the Phillies mascot, the Phillie Phanatic, was out on the field shooting hot dogs into the stands with a hot dog cannon. The hot dogs are wrapped in duct tape, so they don’t fly apart while flying through the air. Unfortunately for one woman sitting in the stands, one of the hot dogs struck her square in the face!

Kathy McVay, the fan who was hit, ended up in the emergency room to make sure she didn’t have a concussion from the hot dog impact. And to her credit, McVay seems to be taking the whole thing in stride. She also says that she will not be taking any legal action because she loves her Phillies so much!
