On July 1st at around 2:00 p.m., police were called to 804 E. North Street for a report of an individual who was seen huffing ‘dust-off’ in a vehicle. Police located the suspect vehicle (which was running), and observed the suspect with a can of ‘dust-off’ in his hands. Police noted the driver’s slurred speech, which is consistent with the inhalation of ‘dust-off.’ The driver was identified as 25-year-old Christopher Shipley of Pocahontas, AR. Police determined him to be too impaired to operate a motor vehicle. He was placed under arrest for DUI and Ingestion of a Substance (Excluding Alcohol) to Intoxicate. Several other cans of ‘dust-off’ were located in the vehicle. He was transported to the Pennington County Jail.
