Hall of Fame catcher Johnny Bench was a guest on the Dan Patrick Show yesterday and told a funny story about a young Ken Griffey, Jr. Bench played with Ken Griffey, Sr. for the Cincinnati Reds in the 1970s and said that Jr. was always around the ballpark and the locker room. He also said that Jr. used to come in the locker room as a kid and steal everything he could get his hands on, like shirts, batting gloves and other stuff! Bench then went on to talk about how incredibly gifted of an athlete Ken Griffey, Jr. was and how it was obvious even at a very young age.
