Danica Patrick Hosted This Years ESPYS And Her Opening Monologue Was…Something (Video)

Since the ESPYS decided to stop having comedians as hosts and started having athletes do it, now people who show off their talents elsewhere can prove how funny they can be. So who would be the funniest person they could think of?

Well, none other than Danica Patrick!

A bit surprising of a choice, but hey, as the first NASCAR driver to host and being a woman, it makes sense!

She seems like a pretty cool lady but she maybe should stay out of comedy.

Her monologue got her a few laughs but it definitely made a lot of us kind of shrug it off as “that’s kinda funny but, meh.”

One joke that completely bombed was when she talked about Lebron’s transfer to LA. She said “LA transplant” was also what Lebron would google to fix his hair. That joke got a few chuckles until she recovered with an awesome “up by one!” joke about J.R. Smith.

She also joked about the men’s curling team who won gold at the Olympics, saying it’s the only sport you’re encouraged to kneel which led into more jokes about Fergie and the National Anthem.

It’s not like she completely failed at it, she got a few laughs out of us and the crowd there, but it wasn’t anything too special but what did we expect? It’s not like she was the best NASCAR driver either…

See, Danica, now that’s how you deliver a good roast!

But hey, we really think your rap career could take off!
