Last night “Jeopardy” had a category for first lines of classic songs.
Like usual, it’s pretty funny to hear Alex Trebek just blandly speak words that we all can’t help but sing. What’s not all that funny, though, is when Trebek nit-picks contestants about their answers.
Hasn’t this dude ever heard of “yeah, close enough!”
During the category, a contestant answered basically correctly with “you lost that lovin’ feelin'”.
Instead of giving him the points/money because he was basically correct, Trebek decided to be all high and mighty and correct him.
“Oh, you’re so close,” he said. “It’s not you it’s you’ve. Y-O-U-apostrophe-V-E.”
Come on Trebek, you really are going to play him like that!?
Sorry, we meant you’re, Y-O-U-apostrophe-R-E.
