Swimmer Ryan Lochte has been banned from competitive swimming until July of 2019 because he received an intravenous vitamin treatment with his wife back in May. The contents of the IV treatment were not on the banned substance list, but there is a 100mllimit to how much of the substance you can receive, and unfortunately, Lochte was over the limit.
Lochte held a press conference yesterday to explain his suspension and give his side of the story.
