Attempted Robbery

On July 20th at around 9:15 a.m., police were dispatched to the 400 block of 2nd Street for a report of a stabbing. Police made contact with the reporting party who had some superficial injuries. The individual refused medical treatment on scene. The reporting party told police he was working with a weed trimmer in the area when he was approached by two unknown males. Both males had demanded property from the individual, with one male brandishing a knife while doing so. During the altercation, the male with the knife was struck by the weed trimmer, and the reporting party had been scratched by the knife. The reporting party grabbed the knife and left the scene to call police. The reporting party was unable to provide specific detail about the two male suspects, other than describing them as Native American, 6’0” tall, and medium to short length hair. The suspect with the knife is described as wearing a black shirt and blue jeans, while the other suspect is described as wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans. Police continue to investigate the incident.
