At the beginning of 2017, the San Diego Chargers announced that they would be moving to Los Angeles for the 2017 season. It didn’t go over well with their loyal fans in San Diego and it was a huge news story. But it appears as though as big as the story was a year and a half ago, the folks at EA Sports didn’t get the memo.
Check out the clip below from Madden NFL ’19, which Twitter user Michael Cook posted just last week. In the short video, an announcer is heard saying, “EA Sports’ coverage of the NFL takes us to the Mission Valley area of beautiful San Diego” as a game between the Chargers and 49ers is set to start. The Mission Valley area of beautiful San Diego? Oops! Looks like they forgot to update some of the voiceovers!
To their credit, EA Sports saw the tweet and said that it will be fixed in an update coming soon.
