Arizona Family Kills A Rattlesnake In Their Backyard And Eats It (Video)

A family in Phoenix has reached new levels of redneck after they killed a rattlesnake in their backyard and then fried it up and ate it.

Worried that the snake was going to attack the family dogs or possibly the children, the Phoenix woman grabbed a shovel and killed the snake by hitting it in the head. Her husband then suggested that they eat the snake and save the skin as a souvenir. So they fried it up, chowed down and hung the skin up on a board. Yeah, that’ll look great hanging up next to Big Mouth Billy Bass in the rec room.

Not surprisingly, a representative from the Phoenix Herpetological Society does not recommend these actions at all. Technically, a hunting license is needed to kill a snake, unless you feel as though you are in danger. If you encounter a rattlesnake, you’re just supposed to keep your distance and let the snake go on its way, not kill it and eat it.
