For the first time in we’re not sure how long, Bam Margera’s life was in danger and it wasn’t something he brought on himself!
The 38-year-old pro skater and former Jackass star has had quite an interesting year after checking himself into rehab and sobering up back in January.
Recently Margera took a trip to Cartagena in Colombia and, in an Instagram video, tells the story of something terrifying that happened.
According to Margera, he got into a random taxi when he arrived, the drivers didn’t speak English and he doesn’t speak Spanish so the strangers translated on their phone telling him to empty his wallet.
They then put a gun on their lap, Bam handed them the $500 he had and they let him go.
Honestly, it sounds horrifying and he plays it off fine in the video but it actually led him to break his seven-month sobriety and have a beer.
We can’t really blame him there…. but we’re glad he’s doing okay!
