Browns Offensive Line Coach Bob Wylie Says Stretching Is BS (Video)

We’re not sure what made Cleveland Browns’ offensive line coach Bob Wylie hate something as simple as stretching but we also can’t say he doesn’t make even a teeny bit of sense.

Our pal Wiley here thinks stretching is overrated. He apparently sees no point in it because soldiers in WWI and WWII didn’t need to stretch, so why should modern-day footballers?

Wiley even gave examples of specific exercises soldiers in the two world wars, which would make sense he would know so well because we wouldn’t be surprised if he was there too.

“…they won two world wars — two world wars! — by doing jumping jacks, pushups, and situps. You think they were worried when they’re running across Normandy about (expletive) stretching?” ranted Wiley.

We think science may disagree with you, Wiley, but you do have history on your side so do keep doing your thing and we guess you could have the boys dig trenches as part of their next practice? Yeah, why not! Just don’t let them stretch, first…
