Traffic Stop/Drugs

On September 4th around 6:20 p.m., police observed a Chevy Blazer driving east on Omaha Street. The officer could see the driver and identified him as 34-year-old Donald Jacques of Box Elder, known to have warrants out for his arrest. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle in the area of E. Boulevard North and E. Saint Louis Street. Jacques was taken into custody. A pre-tow inventory of the vehicle turned up multiple drug items to include baggies containing a substance field-testing positive for methamphetamine, a scale, needles, and dozens of empty jeweler’s baggie. Jacques was placed under arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Ingestion of a Controlled Substance, Driving Under Revocation, No Proof of Insurance, and his two Warrants.
