With so many stories in the news that show people fighting with cops, it’s kind of refreshing to see a story like this.
Two police officers in Oxnard, CA, Officer Hames and his partner Officer Fessler, pulled up on a couple of kids skateboarding in the street while they were in between calls. The kids were nervous at first, thinking that they’d be in trouble for skating there. But then, Officer Hames grabbed one of the kids’ boards and started busting out some tricks!
It turns out that Officer Hames was an amateur skateboarder for ten years and had actually won championships around the state of California. He had numerous sponsors and could have gone pro, but instead, decided to be come a police officer.
The officers took some pictures of the interaction with the young skaters and they were posted to the Oxnard PDs Instagram page, which have since gone viral
