A news anchor in South Dakota named Angela Kennecke went through something absolutely heartbreaking a few months ago. She lost her 21-year-old daughter to a fentanyl overdose. Even though that’s an absolutely awful situation to be in, Kennecke decided to try to use it as an opportunity to raise awareness about opioid addiction. So last week, she went on the air and reported her own daughter’s death while choking back tears.
Watch her heartbreaking report below. Hopefully none of us are ever in a similar situation, but if we are, we hope we can do it with half of the strength and poise that Angela showed.
