The Emmys took place last night and the biggest moment had to be when Glen Weiss, who had just accepted his Emmy for Best Director for a Variety Special for directing the Oscars, proposed to his girlfriend while on stage!
Weiss began his acceptance speech with an emotional tone, dedicating his award to his mother, who just passed away two months ago. He said that his mother always found the “sunshine” in life and for Weiss, his girlfriend Jan is his sunshine. He then asked her to marry him, presenting her with the engagement ring that his father proposed to his mother with 67 years earlier. And Jan said yes!
Needless to say, everyone in the audience was completely shocked!
