So if you’ve never seen the Lenny Kravitz meme of him walking around wearing a blanket around his neck as a scarf, he has, he’s not amused and has a perfectly good explanation for it!
Recently in an appearance on The Tonight Show, to much of Kravitz’s chagrin, Jimmy Fallon brought up the infamous photo and just wanted to know one simple thing…why?
Apparently the typically pretty stylish Kravitz said he usually lives in the Bahamas so when he was out and about on a cold day he said he needed a “little scarf” to keep his neck warm!
Paparazzi ended up snapping a photo of his not-so “little scarf” and it spread like wildfire and went viral because of how actually gigantic it is!
It has since become a widely-loved meme and as far as Lenny’s concerned, “the guy who made that scarf, you can blame it on,” he said. “He made that scarf, and he gave it to me.”
Lucky for him, blanket scarves are so trendy right now! Although we’re not sure it means wearing an actual blanket around your neck!
