Charlotte Gill, owner of Charlotte’s Legendary Lobster Pound in Southwest Harbor, Maine was using an experimental technique to chill her lobsters before they get cooked…or in this case, baked.
Gill, also a licensed medical marijuana caregiver would put the lobsters in a box with about an inch of water then blow marijuana smoke in to get them high to sedate them.
She said she would not and has not sold any of the high lobsters yet and that she’s working on a new technique until it can comply with the Maine Medical Use Program and the health department.
Apparently if she were to sell the meat it would be considered “adulterated.”
The plan is to serve the lifted lobster only to customers who request it but Gill says, “we will make absolutely sure we have all our ducks — lobsters — in a perfect row before it is.”
Good one Charlotte, were the lobsters telling you jokes too?
You know they can feel pain right? So keep getting them high to spare them the pain of your horrible humor.
