People Who Get Scammed Out Of Thousands By Fake Celebrities Are A Special Kind Of Stupid, Here Are Their Stories (Video)

We all know that show on MTV, Catfish, so we’ve already been exposed to a couple people who think they are actually talking to and having a relationship with celebrities, but here are a few who believed it so much they ignored all warnings and lost thousands.

One woman, who prefers to be referenced as “Mary” sent $11,500 to a stranger in Dubai claiming to be Bruce Springsteen who said he was leaving his wife as well.

Using Western Union, MoneyGram and even iTunes gift cards, people are able to scam the easily gullible by just reaching out on social media through fan pages. Honestly, sure it’s evil but it’s 2018, if people are too stupid to verify if it’s the real celebrity then that’s kind of on them.

Kathy Marden, another almost victim of these scams caught on to the red flags before she could send money to someone claiming to be Derek Hough!

Anyways, Western Union or any of those common money-wiring services should recognize the signs and warn you of scams. If you choose not to believe them, that’s on you boo!
