It was an interesting weekend for everyone on SNL for their 44th season premier but one of the most notable had to have been none other than Ariana Grande’s fiancee and comedian Pete Davidson!
With a hilarious cold-open featuring Matt Damon as Brett Kavanaugh, Adam Driver as host, and a musical appearance and rant by Kanye West, Pete Davidson’s engagement was still front and center!
It’s honestly amazing how self-aware this man is knowing one of the biggest pop stars in the world right now is pretty out of his league!
According to him, because of his engagement to Grande he’s stepped up from being just “that guy from SNL that everyone thinks is in desperate need of more blood.”
“Do you remember when that whole city pretended that kid was Batman because he was, like, sick” said Davidson. “That’s what this feels like.”
He also joked about having a song named after him and how Grande is really the “breadwinner” of their relationship.
Maybe we will give this Pete Davidson guy a chance, after all.
