White Woman Fired From Her Job After Trying To Stop A Black Man From Entering His Own Apartment (Video)

A woman in St. Louis has been fired from her job after she tried to stop a man from entering the building they both live in. She’s white. He’s black. The man recorded the whole interaction and posted it online.

The woman, now known online as “Apartment Patty,” tried to block the man, D’Arreion Toles, from entering the lobby unless he showed her a key fob proving that he lived there. Toles was returning to the building after a late night at the offie. After he eventually got in, Patty then followed him upstairs in the elevator and all the way down the hallway until he unlocked his fourth floor apartment door. As if following him all the way to his door wasn’t bad enough, the woman then called 911 and the police showed up at Toles’ door, saying that Patty felt uncomfortable after the interaction.

Throughout the entire ordeal, Toles remained impressively polite, and the woman ridiculously stubborn. Even after presented with proof that he lived there, which he did not need to give, she still attempted to keep him out of the building.

The company that the woman worked for, Tribeca-STL, a minority-owned business, has confirmed that she is no longer employed by the company due to the video going viral.

Just be nice to everyone, people.
