According to students at a California charter high school, a few weeks ago, one of their classmates brought in homemade cookies, which she distributed to classmates. No big deal, right? Well, the student also told people that the cookies contained the ashes of her deceased grandfather. And after an investigation, police say that they believe that the claim is credible and that the student did actually serve her dead grandparents’ ashes in the cookies.
Police say that they spoke to nine students who ate the cookies, some of whom knew about the ashes and some who didn’t. Wait, so some students knowingly ate cookies with dead grandpa ashes in them? What the hell?
The school has issued a statement on the incident, basically saying that they have questioned the students involved and that this is now a private family matter.
