This Los Angeles Hotel Starts Weird Social Experiment, Lets You See Who Has Stayed In Room Before You (Video)

We don’t know about you guys but we know we love thinking about all of the people who have stayed in your hotel room before you!

Hopefully you sensed our sarcasm there because it is definitely something we try to block from our minds the entire time we’re in our rooms…but this Los Angeles hotel is trying something that does the opposite.

Kimpton Everly Hotel in Los Angeles is trying a new sort of “social experiment” where guests can connect more with people who have stayed there before you!

It’s called “Room 301” and comes with a guest book for people to leave contact info, a camera to leave a picture of yourself behind and even create a playlist for the next person to use and see.

Apparently, in a self-righteous, pretentious statement Kimpton said the idea of Room 301 “seeks to uncover the intersections and variances of the human experience.”

Oh, NOW it makes sense!

The room sits on the 12th floor of their Hollywood location and comes with a $200 welcome kit and with each reservation a $10 donation is made in the guests name to either their choice of the Trevor Project or No Kid Hungry.

We’ll give them that one, that’s pretty nice, but still does not hide how creepy this really is!

The hotel is giving this all a three-month trial run and then will possibly expand the idea to more rooms and locations…so hopefully this ends in a dumpster fire.
