Unless you have just been completely blind to pop culture over the past few years, you know the Netflix true crime docu-series Making A Murderer swept the nation and divided fans of the show everywhere.
The series started with Manitowoc, Wisconsin resident Steven Avery being charged with the murder of Teresa Halbach and later Avery’s nephew, Brendan Dassey also being put behind bars as an accomplice.
While it seems like a pretty open-and-shut case once Halbach’s car and bone fragments were found on Avery’s property, the 10-hour series shows other evidence that has everyone divided and many thinking Avery and Dassey are innocent!
Between insufficient or potentially false evidence as well as a potentially coerced confession from Dassey, a lot has happened since the series concluded but now we get a look at what has happened up until now!
There have been appeals, Supreme Court decisions, new lawyers, and the continuous burden of proof on the Avery-Dassey side so there is even more to catch up on in the recently-released Making A Murderer Part 2.
