University In Michigan Hands Out Hockey Pucks For Students’ Defense Against Potential Active Shooters (Video)

Oakland University outside Detroit has been handing out hockey pucks to students but it is not because they are just big Red Wings fans!

They have been handing out the pucks so students and faculty can use them to defend against potential active shooter(s)!

Apparently the university’s head police officer and a professor came up with the idea claiming a hockey puck getting chucked at a shooter would either injure or at least just be a good distraction.

The students, like us, are pretty skeptical.

Third-year student Adam Kalajian asked the question everyone has been thinking, “I mean, there’s an armed person coming in. Why would you chuck a puck at them?”

Will it work? Here’s to hoping we never have to find out. But imagine these students going through their old college mementos in 10 years and finding their old school shooter puck and they’ll all laugh and then their kids will ask what even is a school shooting and all will be right in the world…we like that idea.
