In Strange ESPN Interview, Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa Reveals His Dad Used To Beat Him If He Didn’t Play Well (Video)

During a morning segment for College Game Day this weekend, Tua Tagovailoa was sharing his story after his rise from backup QB to Heisman hopeful but things took a very strange turn when he talked about his father.

It honestly sounds pretty messed up when Tagovailoa shared about how his father basically forced him to become a left-handed quarterback and would actually whoop him with a belt for playing badly.

ESPN put a more heartwarming twist on it, focusing on Tagovailoa’s successes but the internet was very quick to point out how wrong it actually all was.

Sports parents can always be kind of intense but this seems a bit more intense!

Hopefully Tua is as proud of himself as the rest of college football is!
