Usually when actors do fight scenes, they practice a way to realistically “fake it” for the cameras with special angles and techniques but sometimes you just have to do it the real way!
That’s what Michael B. Jordan faced when filming for the Rocky series movie, Creed.
Sure, a lot of the boxing scenes can be faked but Jordan pointed out on The Graham Norton Show, slow-motion shots just can’t be and therefore, actors have to take a real punch.
Apparently, it is like a “badge of honor” as an actor in the Rocky movies and when Rocky himself, Sylvester Stallone, is pushing you to do it, you don’t say no!
Jordan explained he did what he had to do for the film and never really thought about it until Graham Norton pulled up the raw footage of Jordan taking the punch from actual boxer, Tony Bellew!
Safe to say, Jordan’s not very proud of watching himself hit the floor but hey, he’s famous so…
