On December 29th at around 10:00 p.m., an officer observed a Subaru Impreza pass his patrol car at an high rate of speed while both were northbound on Cambell Street. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but the Subaru continued at a high rate of speed before turning west onto E. North Street. The suspect vehicle then turned onto Pine Street, where police lost sight of it. The vehicle was located, abandoned, in the parking lot of Thompson Park. Police made contact with the registered owner of the vehicle and obtained information indicating the identity of the suspect driver. Police continue to investigate the incident.
