Remember when Mike Tyson was in his heyday and somehow came to own Bengal tigers?
You probably thought, “how the hell did he do that!?”
Well, not that he was able to keep them forever, but he finally has the answer and shared the story on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast!
“So I’m in prison, I’m talking to my car dealer at the time and he has some cars that belong to a [mutual friend],” said Tyson. “And he’s discussing ‘if he doesn’t pay for these cars, I’m going to sell these cars to somebody and get some horses.’”
This sparked something in Tyson once he realized you could trade cars for animals.
His friend told him he did not just have to stop at horses, though, listing animals like cougars, lions or tigers.
So, young Tyson said, “get me some cubs, man” and the rest is history…
