We all heard when Weezer released their cover of Toto’s “Africa”, now the success of the song has inspired the band to release an entire album of covers!
A year ago, the band said they probably would never do a cover and then their cover of Toto’s “Africa” went viral.
After the release of “Africa”, Toto actually reciprocated by covering Weezer’s “Hash Pipe” and now nine other artists will have the chance to start a similar back-and-forth of covers!
Complete with a Black Sabbath, Weezer also takes on an A-ha cover too!
The Teal Album should definitely be interesting, there’s “No Scrubs” on it and Michael Jackson!
Someone should tell them, though, covers are the most interesting when they sound at least a little different from the originals… still pretty cool though!
