Family Accidentally Donates Mug With $6.5K Stashed Inside To Goodwill (Video)

There’s nothing wrong with trying to de-clutter and definitely nothing wrong with donating things you no longer use so somebody else can use them! What could be wrong, though, is stashing your money in a cup that accidentally ends up in the donation box!

This mom in metro Atlanta was just trying to tidy up when she decided to donate her son’s old Mickey Mouse souvenir travel mug that just so happened to have $6,500 in it!

Apparently her 27-year-old son recently sold his car, the bank was closed and he thought the best place to stash the cash was an old mug in the cabinet!

Because ATM’s definitely don’t exist, right?

Anyways, they reached out to the Goodwill and managers confirmed the mug had sold from their store so now the family is asking whoever bought it to please return the cash and are even offering a reward!

Also, this same thing happened about a year ago to an old couple who hid their life savings in a soup can so why can’t people learn to not put their money in kitchen supplies!?
