A state congressman in Hawaii named Richard Creagan wants to make it illegal to buy cigarettes unless you’re over 100 years old.
Yes, 100 years old.
Congressman Creagan says it is a public health issue, they have already taxed cigarettes at a pretty high rate and says smokers “need freedom from enslavement.”
Of course a lot of smokers are not a fan of this idea, saying it is taking away their rights as consumers but Creagan just wants clean beaches and for babies and dogs to not be chewing on butts.
