Bob Costas has become a staple in NBC football coverage over the years but last year his comments on the dangers of the game actually got him booted from covering what was supposed to be his last game.
Costas frequently discussed the dangers of concussions on air but at a symposium at University of Maryland he said the reality is “the game destroys people’s brains.”
After his comments he was told he “crossed the line” and was pulled from his last Super Bowl coverage and the NFL and NBC began to distance themselves from the comments and Costas himself…
The whole story is actually pretty shocking and we really feel bad for our old compadre, Costas!
