CBS reporters spent eight months on a report about airline mechanics have been pressured to ignore safety issues, now senators are calling for an FAA investigation into the matter.
The initial report features information from 26 employees from American and Southwest Airlines who said they were pressured to ignore other safety issues in order to get aircrafts back in service faster.
Senators Ed Markey, D – Massachusetts and Richard Blumenthal, D – Connecticut have since sent a letter to the FAA administrator(s) requesting answers.
We will have to see what happens but until then, fly safe everyone…not like you have any control over that but the sentiment is there so, uhh…yeah!
