It’s a story that has been rumored around Hollywood for years now, why Will Smith was not cast as Neo in The Matrix.
Now, Smith is sharing the story himself as part of his “STORYTIME” series on his YouTube channel!
Turns out, it was not because it was yet another sci-fi movie or that he hated the idea, it was actually all because of a bad pitch from filmmakers, the Wachowskis!
Smith says he does not necessarily regret not doing it because the cast they went with was actually perfect, he said he probably would have ruined it.
He does, though, regret making the train wreck that was Wild Wild West…
