Whether or not this is another one of those “viral challenges” local news thinks the kids these days are partaking in or if it is actually one people are doing, it’s definitely stupid!
Apparently this new “challenge” encourages kids to pretend they are missing for 48-hours and get “points” for each time their disappearance is mentioned on social media.
Obviously this is an extremely bad idea, gives parents unnecessary panic and police are warning it ties them up too!
Police have to treat it as a real missing persons case and wastes valuable time for actual, real cases where time is of the essence!
So parents, please stop raising stupid children that partake in stupid challenges.
