Get ready folks, the new word you are supposed to avoid is *drum roll* “cyclist.”
Now, due to a recent study Australian experts are saying you are supposed to call them “people on bikes” because “cyclist” dehumanizes people.
The researchers say it makes people in cars drive aggressively around people on bikes, because they don’t view “cyclists” as completely human.
Apparently it’s a huge problem down there, with some people calling it a “war” between “people on bikes” and motorists…wait….”people driving cars.”
