The NCAA Made Virginia Player And Fiance Take Down Wedding Registry

The NCAA is so against athletes getting any kind of compensation other than scholarships and exposure and gifts are so regulated they actually made this UVA player and his fiance take down their wedding registry!

Virginia guard, Kyle Guy is in an exciting place in life, playing for the championship and planning a wedding but with the NCAA breathing down his neck, he’s forced to rebound some of his excitement.

Apparently because of the strict guidelines within the NCAA on gifts and benefits that college athletes can receive, a wedding registry falls into that.

Guy responded to reporters recently and while he is pretty confused why it is an issue, he’s cooperating with a very much “gotta do what you gotta do” attitude!

Next the NCAA is going to ban love in general because a significant other is a gift…
